Women hold a minority of health leadership positions globally. Yet, 75–80% of trainees, health workers, and faculty interested in global health are women. This disparity in global health leadership negatively affects health outcomes for women and children worldwide. We aimed to investigate the gender-based challenges of female health trainees and professionals, and identify data-driven interventions.
