Furthering goal 5, this report examines the aggregate results of companies using the Women's Empowerment Principles Gender Gap Analysis Tool (WEPs Tool) with the aim of providing insight into global corporate performance on gender equality and women's empowerment aligned with the WEPs. The study also demonstrates the value of using the WEPs Tool and showcases the efforts of partners and other stakeholders to drive gender equality around the world.
To advance goal 5, this report seeks to bridge the gap in the conversation around gender equality by demonstrating that when more women are in corporate decision-making positions, their companies benefit - as do society and the environment.

SDG 5 - gender equality - has the potential to enhance food security through its attention to women's access to land and natural resources. However, it fails to address women's limited access to irrigation, credit and other inputs. As such, this paper calls for goal 5 to be expanded through synergies with other SDGs.
