This Article supports SDG 3 by assessing ethnic differences in hypertension management. The findings suggest that people of African American Caribbean ethnicity had poorer blood pressure control due to stopping regular treatment.
This paper provides first assessment of nutrient contents in whale faeces prior to their dissolution in seawater, which has overcome the challenges associated with getting reliable estimations of elemental nutrients from whale faeces. By combining measured faecal nutrient concentrations with the best available prey-consumption and prey-assimilation estimates, we calculated the expected contribution of minke whale faeces to nutrient pools in surface waters during summer.

Background: Previous studies on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of health-care workers have relied on self-reported screening measures to estimate the point prevalence of common mental disorders. Screening measures, which are designed to be sensitive, have low positive predictive value and often overestimate prevalence. We aimed to estimate prevalence of common mental disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among health-care workers in England using diagnostic interviews.

This Article supports SDG 3 by assessing continuity of care in people with learning disabilities or autism transitioning from paediatric to adult care, finding that planned care decreased.
The Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) is an international standards development organization (SDO) focused on advancing human health and medicine through genomic data sharing and interoperability. Founded in 2013, the organization has evolved over time and has adapted to unexpected challenges in ways that we believe would be of interest to the broad biomedical community. In this chapter, we present our experiences to support others wishing to share data through global, community-driven standards supporting SDG3.
The growth of predictive data analytics and the simultaneous growth in the availability of interoperable AI-enabled devices offer opportunities to mitigate healthcare disparities currently endemic in indigent, underrepresented, and underserved communities supporting SDG3.
This Article supports SDG 3 by assessing uptake of lung health checks by eligible adults in socioeconomically and ethnically diverse areas and finding that inequalities between groups persist.

The Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) is an international standards development organization focused on advancing human health and medicine through genomic data sharing and interoperability. Founded in 2013, the organization has evolved over time and has adapted to unexpected challenges. Three themes have emerged as critical to the organization's success: (1) community needs must drive development; (2) agility is necessary to create global equity and opportunity; (3) developing an idea into a widely adopted standard requires multiple levels of consensus furthering SDG3.

COVID-19 and Ensuring Future Pandemic Preparedness in Ireland and the World

2023, Pages 3-17

Future global health crises should, wherever possible, be managed in a bipartisan way, mindful of the divides they create, supporting SDG3.
This Article supports Sustainable Development Goal 3 by examining whether psychological intervention for anxiety disorders is associated with a lower incidence of dementia. The results suggest that improvement in anxiety from these therapies was associated with reduced incidence of future dementia.
