This content addresses SDGs 3 and 10 by examining the effectiveness of intervention trials that target the development of friendship, peer networks, and discrete social skills (e.g., engagement, social initiations) in young children with ASD using both single subject research designs (SSRDs) and randomized controlled trials (RCTs).

Conversations about inclusive education have dominated discussions within the field of severe disabilities for more than four decades. Parents, educators, advocates, policymakers, researchers, and other stakeholders have all wrestled with—and vigorously debated—a progression of intriguing interrogatives. This content addresses SDGs 3 and 10 by addressing peer support arrangements as a promising and practical approach for supporting students with severe disabilities to access the myriad social and learning opportunities available within inclusive secondary school classrooms.
Contributing to SDGs 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) and 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), The United Nations collaborate with criminologists, sociologists, and practitioners to produce guidance on preventing the use of children in violent non-state armed groups.

Working mothers often find themselves in a difficult situation when trying to balance work and family responsibilities and to manage expectations about their work and parental effectiveness. Family-friendly policies such as maternity leave have been introduced to address this issue. But how are women who then make the decision to go or not go on maternity leave evaluated?
Previous research suggests that when individuals encounter new information, they interpret it through perceptual ‘filters’ of prior beliefs, relevant social identities, and messenger credibility. In short, evaluations are not based solely on message accuracy, but also on the extent to which the message and messenger are amenable to the values of one's social groups. Here, we use the release of Pope Francis's 2015 encyclical as the context for a natural experiment to examine the role of prior values in climate change cognition.
