Thirty-one pesticide residues were analyzed in 180 agricultural topsoils and 155 earthworms. The soils (100 %) and earthworms (92 %) contained at least one pesticide. The initial predicted environmental concentrations in soils were exceeded in 22 % of the soils.
It was investigated whether switching off workstations after core working hours can relevantly lower energy consumption considering both ecological and economical aspects.

Wildfire smoke can contain carbon monoxide, benzene, formaldehyde, particulate matter (PM), acrolein, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Unlike structural firefighters, wildland firefighters do not wear any respiratory protection, as there is no respirator currently available that meets specifications recommended by the National Fire Protection Association. World Soil Day (WSD) is held annually on 5 December as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and to advocate for the sustainable management of soil resources for a food-secure future. In support of this year's theme - 'Keep soil alive, protect soil biodiversity' - Elsevier presents a curated, open access collection of over 60 journal articles to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy soil ecosystems.

Solar power is a renewable energy source. An increase in solar power can see a pivot from coal-fired power, a major source of air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Global Citizen campaigns on the United Nations’ Global Goals, including goal 7 for affordable and clean energy and goal 13 for climate action. The Global Goals specifically call on all nations to invest in sustainability and renewable power.
This study contributes to the understanding of the most appropriate management scale for the conservation of Pampean plant and flower visitor communities, particularly in homogeneous farmland mosaics intensively managed with annual crops.
