Agriculture contributes about 30% of the global anthropogenic emissions. Thus, eco-efficient and eco-effective systems must be used to reduce emissions. Agroecosystems can be sink for atmospheric CO2 through eco-intensification. The goal is to advance food security by adopting a climate-resilient agriculture and making soil and agriculture integral to any agenda to address global issues.
