Global Perspectives on Medicine, Rehabilitation and Robotics Webinar Series

The Global Perspectives on Medicine, Rehabilitation and Robotics Webinar Series discusses how Robot-Assisted Therapy (RAT) can help bridge healthcare disparity gaps and allow clinicians in Low-and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) to give better care to their patients by highlighting potential solutions to enable these technologies to be available. The webinar series explores themes aligned with SDGs 3 and 9. 

In this fifth webinar, Professor Matthew O. B. Olaogun, Dean/Senior Assistant Provost, Faculty of Basic Medical and Health Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Bowen University, Iwo, Nigeria, will speak about Stroke rehabilitation in Nigeria: current perspectives and future trends, and Dr. Kayode P. Ayodele, principal researcher of the Bio-Signal Processing, Instrumentation and Control (BiSIC) Lab of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, will speak about developing homegrown rehabilitation robotics expertise in developing countries: Nigeria as a case study.
