On Thursday 28 May, the United Nations Association – UK will bring together candidates for the position in a high profile event at Central Hall Westminster, London with confirmed participation from:
- Maria Fernanda Espinosa, former President of the General Assembly
- Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency
- Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary-General of UNCTAD (on temporary leave for the campaign)
- Michelle Bachelet, former President of Chile
This event is hosted as part of UNA-UK's involvement in the 1 for 8 Billion campaign – a global coalition working to ensure the SG selection process is transparent, merit-based and accountable.
