Shaquita Bell: Changing the conversation on race and health

Shaquita Bell, who is both Black and Indigenous, recently became the 33rd Native-identifying full professor of medicine in the USA. “I realise how under-represented we [Indigenous people] are in medicine, and that means that our children are not at the forefront of this work,” she says, “I take it as part of my responsibility to my people and my community to address that.”
