Owing to the growing population, environmental remediation is essential and the applicability of nanomaterials in water treatment is explored in this chapter. The processes such as adsorption, photocatalytic degradation and membrane filtration works on different principles corresponds to morphology, porosity, band-gap, etc. Applications of materials such as zeolites, metal oxides, metal organic frameworks (MOFs), nanocomposites and its morphologically tuned forms are studied in the aforementioned processes.
