Indigenous communities are grounded in the connections among people and between people and the natural world. Especially important is the wisdom of elders and the knowledge that comes from culturally embedded teachings. Such connection is even more urgent in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused extreme isolation and distress that particularly impacts Indigenous youth. To recover and to facilitate resiliency, a unique technology tool has been developed and applied, which holds promise to strengthen self-esteem and well-being, and to rebuild core cultural relationships.
