Climate change is a present and growing challenge for tropical fisheries with disproportionate impacts on small island developing states (SIDSs). Community vulnerability is increased by compounding colonial legacies and influences. Greater attention to fish as food can refocus policy attention on the human dimensions of resilience and adaptive capacity.
