After decades of unsustainable exploitation of the Earth's resources, we have reached a breaking point. My generation – also known as “the climate change generation” – will have to reverse the damage that has been done to the Environment. But the challenge extends even beyond that: because of its deep interconnections with Natural ecosystems, the future of human health is under threat. We can no longer conceive human and environmental health as two distinct entities. To tackle this pressing issue, a global and interdisciplinary effort is needed [1].
