Environmental sustainability involves responsibly utilizing natural resources without compromising their future availability. This includes minimizing carbon emissions, measured by the carbon footprint, which signifies the release of carbon dioxide into the environment, a harmful practice. To ensure a healthy and sustainable earth, it’s crucial to promote renewable energy, decrease waste, and protect natural ecosystems. Electric vehicles (EVs) emerge as a key component in the battle against climate change, offering a sustainable mode of transportation. It's essential to assess the overall environmental impact of EVs, encompassing their entire life cycle, including battery production and disposal. This study explores the potential of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into energy management systems to enhance the environmental sustainability of EVs. By employing AI algorithms, EVs can intelligently optimize energy efficiency, battery performance, and charging infrastructure, ultimately leading to reduced emissions. This research also highlights the significance of India’s potential transition to full-scale EV adoption, which could not only revolutionize the nation's transportation but also contribute significantly to global environmental well-being by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
