Gendered communication styles affect workplace interactions and performance. How speakers take turns and hold or yield the floor reflects organizational culture. STEM fields, which are traditionally male-dominated, frequently exhibit masculine practices that limit women. Women and men can collaboratively work to mediate and modify those patterns.
