Climate and weather affect water quality in many ways, including changes in temperature of surface water, moisture available for plants and microbes, and flooding and drought conditions that influence pollutant transport and transformation. This chapter discusses several meteorological features that influence the formation and fate of pollutants, including attention to potential impacts from climate change.
