Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all

This chapter advances SDG 6 by presenting a case study for depollution of water, which contributes to achieving clean water in North Africa.
This chapter advances SDG 6 by offering a technique for water treatment, with emphasis on date pits (DP) availability, chemical composition, and activated carbon (AC) preparation methods from DP.

Handbook of Advanced Approaches Towards Pollution Prevention and Control, 2021, Pages 281-305

This book chapter advances SDGs 3 and 6 by explaining why SDG goals toward clean water are so essential to those targeting good health.

This chapter advances SDGs 3 and 6 by showing how increasing bacterial resistance to commonly used antibiotics is a pressing threat to the human population on a global scale. As the development of new combative drugs is complex, expensive, time consuming and risky, there has been a strong focus in recent years to develop alternative strategies for the treatment of bacterial infections, and nanoscale materials have emerged a strong contender for this purpose.
This chapter advances SDG 6 by explaining the use of cluster analysis, multivariate statistical methods, principal component analysis, and factor analysis for the interpretation and analysis of difficult water quality data
This chapter advances SDG 6, 12, and 13 by explaining the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) and GRACE Follow On (GRACE-FO) missions that have greatly benefitted the modeling and monitoring of groundwater storage changes and drought at the global scale. In this chapter, we first review environmental controls on the temporal variability of groundwater using in situ data. We then describe an approach that infuses GRACE and GRACE-FO observations into a land surface model for assessing groundwater storage changes and drought globally.
This chapter advances SDG 6, 12, and 13 by examining the emergence of water sustainability aspects in recent virtual water trade (VWT) literature, highlights the recent advances and remaining issues in evaluating the water sustainability of agriculture globally, and makes recommendations for future scientific research and societal change: consider groundwater both at the local scale and at the global scale; improve our understanding of groundwater storage and dynamics with new models and data; and raise the profile of groundwater sustainability in governance frameworks to eventually end environmental damages of groundwater exploitation.
This book chapter addresses goals 14, 13 and 6 by looking at climate change and the threats to deep sea benthic habitats.
This chapter advances SDG 6 by presenting three low-cost treatment solutions based on solar energy disinfection, phytoremediation, and a combination of biofiltration and solar energy disinfection.

Aquananotechnology: Applications of Nanomaterials for Water Purification, 2021, Pages xv-xxiv

This book chapter advances SDG 6 and 14 by introducing and summarizing efforts of nanomaterials research for environmental remediation--focusing on water purification
