This book chapter addresses SDGs 15, 12, and 11 by discussing the conservation of terrestrial, freshwater, and coastal/marine ecosystems, and how to identify global percent protection goals.
This paper discusses the challenges in safely re-opening indoor sport centres and the measures already suggested by others to partly tackle these challenges. It also elaborates three potential additional measures and based on these additional measures, it suggests the concept of a certificate of equivalence that could allow indoor sports centers with such a certificate to re-open safely and more rapidly. It also attempts to stimulate increased preparedness of indoor sports centers that should allow them to remain open safely during potential next waves of SARS-CoV-2 as well as future pandemics. This contributes to SDGs 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 16.

This article addresses goals 10, 11, and 13 by showing how to build resilience to the impacts of climate change in informal settlements, focusing on those located in cities in low- and middle-income countries and how these settlements concentrate at-risk populations.
Cycleways away from traffic with lower concentrations of pollutants from motorised vehicles sometimes result in longer distances and hence require longer travel times, while alternative routes sharing the road with other traffic, sometimes with buses, might result in exposure to higher pollutant concentrations. To help commuter cyclists achieve their objectives of getting to work in the shortest possible time and maximising their health benefits, this paper proposes a bi-objective route choice model, with the minimisation of travel time and pollutant dose as the two objectives. This supports SDGs 3 and 11.
