This research contributes to SDG 6 (clean water and sanitation), SDG 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure) and SDG 12 (responsible production and consumption). Using a multiple-scale socio–economic water cycling model, the impacts of water price reform, water reallocation schemes, and industrialization processes on water resources utilization are analysed in north-western China.

Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Volume 97, Dec 2018, Pages 290-300.

This article debates the practicality and benefits of comprehensive food-energy-water nexus policy approaches. Improved understandings of the nexus holds broad potential to contribute to multiple interconnected SDGs including 2 (zero hunger), 6 (clean water and sanitation), and 7 (affordable and clean energy).
Elsevier,

Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability, Volume 34, October 2018, Pages 21-25.

This paper contributes to goal 6 by calling for academics to step in and provide more realistic objectives, criteria and indicators for measuring the performance of clean water, sanitation and wastewater services. This will help to focus efforts over the lifetime of the SDGs and prevent the failings of the MDGs from being repeated.
Pollutec 2020 logo
Born in 1978, Pollutec is recognized today as the reference meeting place for environment professionals. The event develops multiple SDGs, including SDGs 6 (clean water and sanitation), 7 (affordable and clean energy), 12 (responsible consumption and production) and 13 (climate action).
This chapter addresses goals 6 and 9 by discussing the recent advances of carbon-based nanomaterials and nanocomposite membranes for effecctive treatment of emulsified oil/water mixtures.
To advance goals 12 and 6, this article reviews the exposure scenarios and potential mechanisms of action after exposure to engineered nanomaterials (ENMs) that are unbound or incorporated into products in occupation-, consumer-, and environment-focused areas.

Sustainable Fibres and Textiles, The Textile Institute Book Series, 2017, Pages 1-18

To advance goals 6 and 12, this chapter discusses the upgrading of technology in the textiles industry to increase the sustainability and transparency of products.
Elsevier,

Sustainable Apparel, Woodhead Publishing Series in Textiles, 2015, Pages 135-160.

To address goals 6 and 12, this chapter explores the sustainability issues of preparing and dyeing apparel fabrics, with a focus on colouring cotton fabrics with reactive dyes.
Directly contributing to SDGs 2 (zero hunger), 6 (clean water and sanitation) and 7 (affordable and clean energy), this paper proposes a solar energy enabled desalination process for producing fresh water, electricity generation and hydrogen production.
Elsevier,

Resources, Conservation and Recycling, Volume 133, Jun 2018, Pages 343-353.

This research contributes to SDGs 6 (clean water and sanitation), 7 (affordable and clean energy), 12 (responsible consumption and production) and 15 (life on land). The study specifically maps and quantifies nitrogen nutrient flows in a local food-energy-water system and indicates how such modeling could inform decision-making for sustainable management of nutrients.
