Arab/Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) youth are a highly underserved population in the area of mental health. This chapter reviews important considerations for working with this population, including considerations of acculturation, discrimination, and cultural considerations regarding clinical care. We end with a summary of the development, implementation, and evaluation of a community-engaged mental health program and service for Arab American youth.
