This chapter addresses SDGs 3 and 9 by examining the technologies devised in Glassense—Wearable technologies for sensory supplementation. This regional project aimed to develop a proof of concept prototype of a sensorized pair of glasses to assist users with limited technology skills and multiple disabilities.
The efficiency and power output of a PV module decreases at the peak of sunlight due to energy loss as heat and this reduces the module power output. To combat this, the authors propose a multi-concept cooling technique and evidence the increased productivity, furthering SDG 7.

The expanding tools in the chemist’s toolbox of designed surfactants allows biomimicry at the molecular level. Now enabled to better mimic the natural world, future chemistries have the potential to be greener and more sustainable.
