Interconnections are central to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015, the SDGs inspire global action to overcome the world’s related challenges — from hunger and poverty to equality and peace. Governments, businesses, civil society, and the UN system are working together to achieve the goals by 2030, and improve the lives of people everywhere.
Elsevier and the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) are pleased to announce the third biennial Renewable Transformation Challenge. If you have an innovative proposal which contributes to the goal of transitioning to 100% renewable energy, submit your application for a chance to win €20,000.
Advancing SDG 6, the RELX Environmental Challenge awards innovative projects that provide sustainable access to safe water or sanitation, with a first prize of $50,000 and a second prize of $25,000.

Over the past five years, we have used data and analytics to help the research and healthcare  communities navigate the sea of research and to put collaboration, both interdisciplinary and international, at the heart of scientific progress on the SDGs. View findings for SDG 17.
The sixth RELX SDG Inspiration Day took place on Wednesday 24 June 2020 with nearly 400 representatives from business, NGOs, academia and civil society. The Inspiration Day gave hope that, although the pandemic has created significant barriers to meeting the SDGs by 2030, global collaboration is our best bet for overcoming them.

Environmental Challenge, August 2019.

RELX, a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers, has announced the winners of the 2019 RELX Environmental Challenge. The Challenge supports innovative solutions to improve SDG 6 (clean water and sanitation).
RELX held its fourth SDG Inspiration Day in Delhi to catalyse action on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This event took place at the iconic Imperial Hotel in partnership with Global Compact India, Responsible Media Forum and the Ban Ki-Moon Centre for Global Citizens. The theme Sustainable Cities: SDG 11, critical to the rest inspired rich discussion among participants from business, government, civil society and academia who explored the interconnection of SDG 11 with cross-cutting themes, such as health and the rule of law.

RELX Group held two SDG Inspiration Days to bring together business, government and civil society to scale collaboration and engagement on the SDGs. The first SDG Inspiration Day took place in San Jose, California and focused on disruptive technology to advance the goals. The second day took place in Amsterdam and focused on the power of partnerships to achieve the goals.
