
RELX held its fourth SDG Inspiration Day in Delhi to catalyse action on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This event took place at the iconic Imperial Hotel in partnership with Global Compact India, Responsible Media Forum and the Ban Ki-Moon Centre for Global Citizens. The theme Sustainable Cities: SDG 11, critical to the rest inspired rich discussion among participants from business, government, civil society and academia who explored the interconnection of SDG 11 with cross-cutting themes, such as health and the rule of law.

During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Márcia Balisciano, Corporate Responsibility Director at RELX Group, spoke about how women are advancing the 17 SDGs in a panel empowering women to advance the goals.

RELX Group held two SDG Inspiration Days to bring together business, government and civil society to scale collaboration and engagement on the SDGs. The first SDG Inspiration Day took place in San Jose, California and focused on disruptive technology to advance the goals. The second day took place in Amsterdam and focused on the power of partnerships to achieve the goals.

Supports Goals 4 and 10. A unique partnership between the Next Einstein Forum (NEF) and Elsevier will see the creation of a new pan-African, peer reviewed, open access publishing journal, dedicated to boosting the global reach and impact of research by Africans.
Furthering SDGs 8 and 17, this report explores partnerships and progress towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by the business community in Latin America and the Caribbean. It includes key findings from a report by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as data from participants of the UN Global Compact.

The Cancer Moonshot initiative directly supports SDG 3, Target 3.4 and Indicator 3.4.1. Joe Biden, former VP, and YS Chi, Chairman of Elsevier and Director of Corporate Affairs at RELX Group, received Humanitarian of the Year awards from the United Nations Association of New York (UNA-NY).
Contributing to SDGs 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) and 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), The United Nations collaborate with criminologists, sociologists, and practitioners to produce guidance on preventing the use of children in violent non-state armed groups.

The goal of SDG 16.3, to promote the rule of law at the national and international levels and to ensure equal access to justice for all, relies to a large extent on access to the primary materials. The stability of the legal system of a State is usually assessed by the availability of its laws and their application and LexisNexis is proud to have been chosen as a partner to continue publication of the authorised Fiji Law Reports. Partnership for the goals is key to their success, as envisaged by SDG 17.

In July the 2017 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Business Forum recognised the critical role of business in delivering on the promise of sustainable and inclusive development.
