This study estimates heat- and cold-related excess deaths over 60 years in China, showing that Heat-related mortality has increased sharply during the last two decades and social-economic development contributes to adaptability.
This article presents an exploratory global ‘Decarbonization Divergence’ sustainability scenario. This scenario depicts an economy that decarbonizes through technological development despite further growth, while households do not contribute to such decarbonization efforts through lifestyle change, leading to divergent developments between the economy and households.
The objective of the meta-analysis is to identify impacts on various sectors, adaptation strategies, and the challenges of climate change in the Ethiopian context.
This multi-city, multi-country One Earth Research Article shows that Paris Agreement-aligned climate action (SDG 13) is needed to avoid increasing ozone-related* deaths (SDG 3) because greener energy production is also cleaner pollution-wise. These actions will help make cities and communities more sustainable (SDG 11). *Some greenhouse gases, and many co-emitted pollutants from fossil-fuel burning, contribute to ozone production near ground level where it is a harmful pollutant.

This paper seeks to contribute to pipeline leakage detection research through collecting and simulating leakage signals under different pressure strengths by combining experiments with numerical simulation. The findings point towards better detection in a real noise environment. Such research is vital in the context of increasing worldwide demand for water and insufficient water supply caused by pipeline leakage.
Augmentation approaches warrant further consideration as part of water agencies' regional water supply portfolios. Although the ocean water augmentation approaches discussed in this paper are based on a case study in California, the approach can be applied to similar scenarios around the world.
Pakistan's water resources experiencing mounting pressure. UN SDG 6 provides a roadmap for achieving sustainable water management. Long-term planning and community engagement are key to success. Policy recommendations include efficient pricing and climate change integration.
