Our research explores how Stakeholder Capitalism can contribute to global governance to achieve all the 17 SDGs. The main findings revealed that Stakeholder Capitalism and its principles are favorable to foster a friendly environment for achieving most of the SDGs and can contribute to global governance in achieving mainly the SDGs 8, 9, and 17. However, Stakeholder Capitalism literature is incipient for the SDGs 6, 14, and 15, needing further research development by considering non-human stakeholders and the environment.

Since 2011, the RELX Environmental Challenge has been awarded to projects that best demonstrate how they can provide sustainable access to safe water or sanitation. Poor access to water and sanitation has been a growing crisis, with around 800m people worldwide lacking access to clean water and 2bn people lacking access to basic sanitation. The 2022 winners have created innovative solutions to achieve SDG 6, access to clean water and sanitation for all.

Energy for Sustainable Development, Volume 71, December 2022

Innovation in Environmental Technologies (ETs) is critical for meeting the Paris Climate Agreement. Through an empirical analysis we show that collaboration between NICs and G7 countries drives ET innovation in the former. Results suggest that much greater policy focus should be aimed at collaboration rather than technology transfer. Collaboration breeds more NIC’s innovation by inducing learning-by-doing, learning-by-innovating and learning-by-exporting
