One Earth, Volume 6, 19 May 2023

This article advances SDG # 13 by quantifying the extent - and rigor - of existing regulation and makes recommendations for future policies for addressing the issue of Methane emissions.
ICIS
This article is an in-depth analysis of the challenges and solutions for the circular economy. This article relates to SDG 12, Responsible Consumption and production.

The Lancet Regional Health - Europe, Volume 28, May 2023

This study calls for research on how to address the spiritual needs of healthy and sick populations.
Elsevier, Current Developments in Nutrition, Volume 7, April 2023
Background: An essential dietary strategy to address the rapidly increasing risk of the double burden of malnutrition among indigenous populations around the world is to improve nutritional and food diversity utilizing varieties of traditional plant-based foods. Objectives: The objective of this research was to identify wild edible plants (WEPs) frequently consumed by the Semai and analyze their proximate and mineral composition to improve the adequacy of the local population's nutritional intake.

One Earth, Volume 6, 21 April 2023

This One Earth Primer article explains the current understanding of how social norms can modulate more sustainable behaviors. The implications are relevant for progress on many of the SDGs, especially 11 (sustainable communities) and 13 (climate action).

One Earth, Volume 6, 21 April 2023

Air conditioning is a vital, though problematic, adaptation to climate change and increasing urban heat. Increasing access to air conditioning is needed for human health (SDG 3) in heat-vulnerable regions, though the sustainability depends on innovation and clean energy infrastructure making the contributions to SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities) both positive and negative for different indicators. This One Earth research explores what demographic factors are associated with air conditioning uptake.
Elsevier,

One Earth, Volume 6, 21 April 2023

This One Earth Perspective Article lays out a research agenda for better understanding what motivates adolescent engagement in sustainability, such as climate action (SDG 13) and other efforts towards sustainable communities (SDG 11).

Progress in Oceanography, Volume 213, 1 April 2023

Selective copepod grazing and water mass origin impacted spring bloom composition. Diatom bloom enhanced zooplankton recruitment and deep carbon export. Spring bloom composition impacted summer plankton community. Mixo- and heterotrophic protists dominated the nutrient-poor summer months. Copepod grazers controlled the summer protist community.

Ocean Modelling, Volume 182, April 2023

This study proposes a deep learning model based on a convolutional neural network, which can effectively fuse atmospheric information (wind field) and station water level information and can effectively forecast the station water level and also have a good response to the anomalous water level increase brought by storm surge.
Elsevier, The Lancet Psychiatry, Volume 10, April 2023
Background: The Global Burden of Disease Study (GBD) estimates burden by cause with major relevance for resource allocators globally. Non-fatal burden estimates are influenced by disorder severity. However, for many disorders, global severity is sourced from a single high-income country survey. We aimed to estimate severity distributions that vary by Healthcare Access Quality Index (HAQI) using anxiety disorders as a case study and present the usefulness of this method in simulating averted and avoidable burden globally.
