This Article addresses SDGs 2, 3, and 10 by mapping stunting prevalence in children younger than 5 years in Ghana. The modelling study found substantial geographical variations in the prevalence of childhood stunting, ranging from 4.2% to 45.1% across Ghana. The study developed interactive, web-based prevalence maps, which can be used to target public health interventions and research in resource-limited settings. Estimates of exceedance probabilities were developed to be used with the maps so that users can identify areas where predicted prevalence is likely to exceed allowable thresholds.

This article addresses SDGs 3, 4, and 10 by quantifying the transgenerational importance of education for child survival, showing that lower maternal and paternal education are both risk factors for infant and child mortality. This comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis of data on 3,112,474 livebirths, from 92 countries, shows a strong association between increased parental education and lower childhood mortality (up to age 5 years). These findings provide a strong rationale to further promote efforts to provide universal quality education at all levels, tackle socioeconomic inequalities in health, and improve the health of future generations.
